As a Lead Engineer β Services Engineering, you will handle key technical activities which support the delivery and improvement of products, systems, and solutions for the SP&S organization. Your role covers both customer-owned and rental equipment across several product lines with opportunities to create and work on new designs providing solutions, including Subsea Xmas Trees, Tubing Hangers and tooling, Completion/Work-over Riser systems, and Wellhead Tooling.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting customer specifications and leading design reviews to capture requirements, risks, and lessons learned.
- Developing conceptual designs and layouts in line with Design Process Management (DPM) protocols and industry standards (API 6A/17D/17G).
- Creating work packs, reviewing detailed drawings, preparing test procedures, and leading small design teams.
- Designing layouts, specifying components, evaluating stack-ups, creating assembly procedures, and supporting manufacturing/workshop activities.
- Undertaking design verification (tolerance studies, DFM, reliability, failure analysis) and supporting client ops, shop ops, and 24/7 engineering service.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve quality, reduce costs, and update design standards while delivering detailed manufacturing designs.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology with emphasis on mechanical engineering.
- Bring proven experience to customer project engineering.
- Understand engineering designs and apply knowledge effectively; O&G and SSPE experience is ideal.
- Demonstrate expert oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Influence stakeholders and lead small teams on initiatives of moderate scope.
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with good organizational ability.
- Identify problems effectively and deliver analytical, well-structured solutions.
