As a Buyer, you will support the procurement of goods and services across assigned categories, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing aligned with business needs. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain supply continuity and optimise value.
Key Responsibilities:- Supplier Engagement: Contact suppliers to request quotations for goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing and lead times.
- Requisition Management: Convert internal purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
- Order Tracking: Monitor open orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve any delays or issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of supplier communications, quotations, and order confirmations.
- System Updates: Ensure procurement systems are updated with the latest order and delivery information.
- Continuous Improvement: Support initiatives to improve procurement processes and supplier performance.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- ERP system proficiency (Oracle preferred).
- Team-oriented with a proactive mindset.
