As a Aeroderivative Turbine Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on‑site. You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
- Performing all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed.
- Using hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.
- Executing hands‑on job duties on site, including sub‑contractor coordination and customer/internal communication.
- Troubleshooting complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/variable speed turbines.
- Overseeing, overhauling, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites.
- Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Have proven experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment or turbine aeroderivative technology.
- Display an impressive customer service‑orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
- Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
- Have a good English knowledge.
- Have an EU Passport or a European Work permit and be available to travel globally 70% of the time.
