Are you an expert in conceptual and front-end study with a passion for creating solutions for subsurface flow systems? Do you have experience of the key interfaces with subsurface, subsea and process engineering to enable successful project team collaboration? Join our innovative Subsea Production Systems Engineering Team.
As a Systems Flow Assurance Engineer you will work collaboratively on a variety of subsurface, subsea and facilities process projects and will be responsible for:
- Ensuring delivery of flow assurance scopes within cost, quality and schedule limits
- Performing single and multiphase thermohydraulic analysis (steady state & transient) of well, pipeline, riser and facility systems for offshore and onshore systems
- Delivering flow assurance scopes within project time, cost and schedule constraints
- Liaising with other disciplines to ensure good coverage of all interfaces
- Developing engineering solutions to specific project/client specifications
- Implementing existing or input to the creation of operating philosophies
- Writing calculations, technical notes, reports and presentations as required for efficient communication of analysis to the customer and within Baker Hughes quality requirements
- Participating in safety and design review meetings
- Assisting with the preparation of proposals and tenders by provision of technical support
- Assisting with the test, benchmark and validation of flow assurance software
- Developing customer and stakeholder relationships
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related subject
- Have Professional Chartered Status or be working towards attainment of this
- Be highly experienced in the use of OLGA, PIPESIM / PipePhase, Multiflash, PVTSim, PIPENET for analysis of both steady state and transient system behaviour and some experience in the use of Ledaflow or Maximus
- Be competent in the characterization of production fluids with a solid understanding of the principles of thermodynamics and hydraulic theory
- Demonstrate experience in the execution and delivery of well, pipeline, riser and facility related flow assurance scopes for a range of oil & gas projects
- Have some experience in deep-water, HPHT or other challenging developments
- Experience of both stand-alone and integrated project scopes, with skills associated with Project management numeracy and literacy, Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate single and multi-phase flow assurance experience, including experience in the management of flow assurance related issues such as sand, wax, asphaltenes and hydrates
- Ability to work in an organized manner both individually and as part of a team, with a strong self-checking ability
- Leadership characteristics, enthusiasm and a strong attention to delivery
- Excellent report writing skills and communication skills
