Are you a health and safety minded individual? Are you excited by the prospect of working for an industry leader in Health and Safety? Join our dedicated NOS GeoZone HSE team. The HSE Specialist will play a key role as part of the NOS GeoZone HSE team in promoting a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. While the role will primarily be focused on site‑based activities at Kirkhill, Aberdeen, it will also contribute to supporting HSE improvement initiatives across other locations in the Aberdeen area.

As an HSE Specialist, you will be ensuring the well‑being of our workforce and compliance of HSE on‑site. You will build relationships with cross‑functional teams to ensure requirements are met, support the teams to implement solutions and help continuous improvement for our HSE.

As a Specialist EHS - Health and Safety, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting GeoZone HSE initiatives through cross‑functional collaboration to embed awareness and understanding.
  • Providing on‑site HSE support and driving standardisation across Aberdeen‑area locations.
  • Managing compliance processes, including packaging, SPI data collection, and timely reporting.
  • Collecting and analysing HSE performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Delivering HSE training, inductions, awareness sessions, and system coaching (e.g., Intelex, SharePoint).
  • Engaging with employees on site to promote positive HSE behaviours and strengthen safety culture.
  • Facilitating risk/COSHH assessments, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a relevant graduation background or a high school diploma with substantial HSE experience / NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possess familiarity with HSE management systems and digital reporting tools.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Work independently while handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Take initiative with an authoritative, proactive, and self‑starter mindset.
