Based at our Portlethen site you will be part of the Warehouse & Yard team delivering high level service to both internal and external customers in a fast-paced environment.
The role of Warehouse and Yard Associate is to ensure a safe and reliable operational environment. In this role, the Warehouse and Yard Associate will execute standard processes and procedures for warehouse activities.
As a Warehouse and Yard Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving inbound material from outside suppliers and other Baker Hughes plants and field locations.
- Stocking received material, as well as completed products and assemblies from in-house production.
- Picking materials, components and end products and delivering them to Production or shipping.
- Performing cycle counts.
- Preparing component kits for production, filling orders and supplier subcontract parts.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Have proven Yard Operator experience in the O&G industry.
- Possess basic written communication skills.
- Have the ability to apply concepts of basic math with basic PC skills.
- Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to operate a forklift while loading or unloading freight.
- Hold a full UK driver licence.
- Have experience in using SAP or similar inventory management system.
