As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system.
As a Project Quality Engineer, your role is one of the most dynamic roles in our business. You will take ownership of quality requirements at every stage of the project life cycle. Working with teams globally you'll ensure our products are designed, developed and delivered with quality at the core.
As a Project Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Verifying contractual and regulatory requirements are fulfilled and have maximized customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Establishing and executing project quality plan, witness-points, quality records for compliance with contract.
- Ensuring customer quality requirements, feedback of experience (FOE)/lessons learned are taken into account in the tender proposal to avoid deviation and to continually improve execution processes.
- Detecting and signalling flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggesting improvements.
- Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
- Contributing to project as a team member.
Work goals typically take 1-3 months to complete and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or have equivalent work experience in a similar role.
- Have prior experience being the quality focal point of post load out investigations actions and managing customer Issue Resolution (CIR) process.
- Have prior experience ensuring all customer concerns are addressed, managing the inspection requirement and subsequent activities throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Have prior experience identifying improvements in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes.
