As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system.

The Manufacturing Operator (Assembly) will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical fitting and a commitment to ensuring high-quality work.
As a Manufacturing Operator (Assembly), you will be responsible for:

Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems according to specifications and engineering drawings.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly and installation.

Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Troubleshooting mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed, minimizing downtime and ensuring efficient operation.

Using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks.

Collaborating with engineers and other team members to address design or installation challenges.

Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.

Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following 5S principles.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.

Proven years of experience as an assembly operator or in a similar role.

Prior experience with Hydrostatic Testing / FAT (desired)

Prior experience rigging and slinging (desired)

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

Familiarity with mechanical systems and components.

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including blueprints and schematics.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
