The Electronics Technician will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of cutting-edge subsea oil and gas equipment. You will focus on electronics, from soldering of components through to circuit testing and debugging
Join our Subsea Production Systems team!
We devise smarter systems to control and monitor oil and gas extraction. Innovating in the energy industry, our subsea and surface pressure capabilities are industry-leading. We manufacture an innovative, market leading sub-sea production systems for the Oil and Gas market for off-shore facilities.
You will carry out pre-defined test processes for electronic equipment per a laid-out test procedure & record test data using online test results system for each individual tool.
As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing electronic assembly of circuit boards, wiring harnesses, connectors, chassis wiring assemblies.
- Fault-finding to component level on PCBβs using related equipment, e.g. Oscilloscope and DVM
- Reading, understanding & interpretation of electrical circuit diagrams from 5VDC up to 1000VAC
- Conducting soldering of electronic components and assembly of electrical sub-systems.
- Working to established quality standards such as ISO/QS9000
- Testing of equipment including Electrical safety checks e.g. Megger & flash testing
- Being proactive in ensuring that health and safety is first priority for employees, suppliers and customers
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have either a HNC/D in electronics or electrical engineering, or have completed and Electronics engineering based apprenticeship
- Have experience of soldering electronic components β IPC-610 would be helpful, but not essential.
- Have some experience in reading and interpreting Electronic Circuit Diagrams and have basic circuit theory knowledge
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to be a valuable team player
- Show a basic understanding of IT such as MS Office and a desire to learn new software
