We operate at the heart of the digital transformation of our business. Our team is responsible for building the Enterprise Cloud infrastructure automation solutions that support the Baker Hughes Cloud strategy. From Public Cloud management to Service development, the Enterprise Cloud team provides automated solutions for Cloud and Application team requirements. As a Cloud Infra DevOps Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Building Enterprise Cloud infrastructure automation solutions to support the Cloud strategy
  • Developing, improving, deploying and supporting Cloud services with a focus on Linux image creation, security, patching, and administration
  • Working on a collaborative team in an Agile / DevOps environment

The ideal individual is relentlessly technical, passionate for automating everything, and delivering amazing customer experiences while following security guidelines to develop secure and compliant Cloud services working with Risk and Security teams.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field.
  • Have a strong AWS & Azure knowledge along with hands-on experience.
  • Have 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Have enterprise scale Linux systems administration experience; patching experience.
  • Have programming experience – Python required; other scripting also preferred.
  • Have experience developing solutions using infrastructure orchestration tools (SSM, automation account, ansible, etc.)
  • Have knowledge of IP networking including VPC’s / VNet’s, DNS, load-balancing, and firewalls.
  • Have an understanding of CI/CD concepts and some working knowledge and hands-on experience with either Cloud Formation or Terraform or Bicep/Arm.
