The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree or recently graduated to gain hands‑on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first‑hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading‑edge technology.

During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset. In this role, you will be responsible for project delivery, profit and loss accountability and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources within the Aftermarket department of BRUSH Power Generation. As a Project Management Intern, you will assist in the key project management responsibilities:
- Managing allocated Customer key accounts and/or other allocated Projects ensuring they are completed on schedule and within cost.
- Designating accounts from project planning stage until the completion of all contractual delivery obligations, including project close‑out review.
- Coordinating all communications between the customer and the Company in a timely manner, from receipt of order through to the end of the contract or warranty period if applicable.
- Coordinating activity within internal departments for resourcing.
- Monitoring and issuing of all contractual documentation to the Customer.
- Monitoring of both actual and estimated project expenditure and where variances exist, ensuring investigation and identification of remedial measures where necessary.
- Reviewing project performance and reporting any significant issues of concern to senior management when the situation warrants.
- Reporting completion of project milestones to ensure on‑time invoicing.
- Negotiating effectively and recording customer project variations ensuring relevant internal departments are notified in a timely manner.
- Ensuring final project reports and workbooks are completed on time and in‑full.
- Minimizing the Company’s exposure to liabilities and maximize any opportunity to improve project margins.
- Supporting proposal stage of projects by preparing Gantt charts, materials and tooling.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelors’ or Masters’ level degree in Business Commercial, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management.
- Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country.
- Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction.
- Be highly motivated and results driven, able to deliver under pressure in a dynamic environment, assuring high quality standards.
- Show excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to interact at all levels within and outside the company.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point).
- Good knowledge of generators preferred.
- Be able to work in team, being inclusive and collaborative.
