As a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Lead, you will plan, manage, support and monitor standards to ensure a safe and healthy environment is created and maintained, thereby achieving legal compliance through a positive approach to sensible risk management.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and correlating HSE leading and lagging KPIs (metric) trends and implementing strategy to meet business HSE expectations through programs, risk mitigation projects, communication, and training.
  • Implementing Company HSE priorities, metrics, goals, and requirements.
  • Introducing establishing programs, tools, and training to ensure compliance with legal requirements and full implementation of Baker Hughes HSE Management System (MS).
  • Coordinating/collaborating with other managers ensuring expeditious and sustainable program implementation with continuous improvement.
  • Providing technical expertise and compliance support to HSE professionals, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and practices, and assisting in responding to significant incidents and government & customers' requests/notices.
  • Influencing and mentoring facilities leadership toward the strengthening of an Interdependent HSE Culture including the Safe to Start and STOP work policies.
  • Ensuring in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the development, planning, implementation, updating, and auditing of the Company HSE Management System and its application on Brush Power Generation facilities and maintain HSE certification (e.g. ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
  • Serving as HSE technical expert for key HSE activities including but not limited to risk assessments, incident investigation, management of change, process safety, waste management, transportation safety, Drops, mechanical lifting, contractor management, emergency planning and response.
  • Closely cooperating with Field Service Engineers to provide HSE expertise and support to drive HSE standards and specific training implementation to deliver results.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Have relevant HSE certification e.g. NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent. ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Have experience in Manufacturing/Services facilities.
  • Have experience of working within the HSE discipline and framework.
  • Have good knowledge of current health, safety and environmental UK regulations.
  • Demonstrate ability in mentoring, motivating and influencing others.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have strong integrity skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Have the ability to travel about 10% of the time.
