At BakerHicks, our Structural teams deliver technically challenging projects across sectors including life sciences, energy, infrastructure, defence and nuclear. We are looking for a Structural Technician with strong Autodesk Revit experience to join our multidisciplinary engineering teams, supporting the delivery of coordinated and buildable structural solutions within a collaborative BIM environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Producing coordinated 2D and 3D structural deliverables using Revit and AutoCAD within BIM workflows
- Developing and maintaining Revit models and Revit families
- Supporting BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model reviews
- Producing reinforcement detailing and RC drawings
- Working closely with engineers and other disciplines to deliver coordinated structural designs
- Taking ownership of packages of work, ensuring quality and technical accuracy
- Supporting digital delivery, automation and improved modelling workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential
- Experience with Revit family creation and model-based structural delivery
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Experience producing structural deliverables from concept through to detailed design
- Experience in reinforcement detailing and RC drawings
- Knowledge of steel, concrete and timber structures
- Understanding of UK design standards and CDM regulations
- Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
- Already hold, or be eligible to obtain, security clearance for work within sectors such as defence and nuclear
- Experience with CADS RC
- Experience with Dynamo or Python scripting for BIM automation
- Experience within sectors such as industrial, energy, infrastructure, defence or nuclear
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance or assurance level for this role, in line with client and sector requirements. In some cases, additional nationality or residency criteria may also apply due to specific client or national security obligations.
