Working within a multidisciplinary team with engineers and designers, in the production of design deliverables for projects within the chemicals and pharmaceuticals sectors, this contract position offers the opportunity to work on exciting major capital investment projects. You will have a good understanding of process requirements, with the ability to interpret process P&IDs as well as understand piping specifications and translate them into piping drawings. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring two days per week in the office, along with occasional visits to UK project sites.
Responsibilities
- Layout of process equipment and pipework using AutoCAD Plant 3D/ AVEVA 3D
- Production of drawings from AutoCAD Plant 3D/ AVEVA 3D
- Production of 2D plant layout drawings in AutoCAD
- Consideration of access requirements for maintenance and operability
- Design of piping supports
Requirements
- AutoCAD Plant 3D and AVEVA 3D
- Experience in the production of process piping 3D models, 2D equipment layouts, P&ID’s, and piping isometrics
- Understanding and knowledge of piping specifications and design codes
- Experience in chemicals, food, or pharmaceuticals sector including design of hygienic piping systems
- Experience with other Autodesk AEC Collection products such as Revit, Navisworks, and related tools would be beneficial
- CAD Administration such as model setup, project configuration, standards management, and maintenance of the design environment
