Our client, an established family-owned business based in Leeds, is seeking a Site Installation Engineer (Power and Distribution Transformers). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transformer Engineer to work for a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment. The Role: Focused mainly around new transformer and package substation installation on site including fitting, wiring and test of both distribution and power transformers . Some prebuild work may also be undertaken at our Leeds facility as well as warranty investigation and rectification work on site and more routine equipment maintenance tasks. Key areas include: Site based and in-house pre fitting and assembly of various types of distribution and power transformers and associated packages. You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, pre assembly images & parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials. You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
