We are working with a brilliant company based in Bradford, they are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to provide hands-on Team Leader support to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Brief:

Warehouse Supervisor responsibilities include storage allocation, picking, loading and participating in company initiatives focusing on damage reduction. Understand the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and follow all company HSE procedures. Report all accidents or any unsafe conditions in the workplace. Ensure training has been received before undertaking specific duties and that all training is recorded in training records. Adhere to all HR policies and procedures, including all absence policies and procedures. Communicate within your own department to ensure that all relevant information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel on a regular and timely basis. Provide regular updates to your line manager regarding progress on required duties and the status of any projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and completing orders for delivery or collection according to schedule.
  • Receiving and processing warehouse stock products.
  • Manage the Warehouse & Logistics Team to ensure Customer expectations are met, and sales orders and pick lists are processed within the given time frame.
  • Ensure that work allocation within the Warehouse Team is in support of customer requirements, by organising the processing of sales orders and shipping requests to ensure jobs are completed within the given time frame.
  • Manage the reviewing, filing and archiving of picklists and other documentation, so that they can be retrieved to support query resolution and Audit review.
  • Ensure that all stock is labelled, stored correctly and properly protected against damage or deterioration, ensuring the Warehouse is maintained in an orderly fashion, and a high level of housekeeping is upheld.
  • Ensure correct and timely issue and receipt of all stock received and accurately put away.
  • Performing warehouse inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits.
  • Analysing data to maximise efficient storage and facilitate pick performance.

Key Tasks:

  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for both internal and external audits.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
  • Report and investigate discrepancies.
  • Communicate and cooperate with the transport & warehouse manager, team leaders and colleagues.
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in warehouse & logistics environments.
  • Health & Safety focused.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing & logistics practices and methods.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy items.
  • Flexibility towards working patterns.
  • Current driving license.

Working hours:

Rotating shift pattern: Week 1 is 6am - 4pm / Week 2 is 12noon - 10pm. 4 day working week, rotating day off each week, Monday to Friday. Paid breaks, the successful candidate will be contracted to work 11 flexi (extra) shifts throughout the year to suit business requirements.

£30k per annum.
