We are looking for an experienced Painter to join Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds.
Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.
As a Painter it is your responsibility to ensure our products are painted to the highest standard within our quality framework to ensure the customers requirements are met on time and in full.
You will mask, prepare, seal and paint transformers and various metal products within our paint spray booths wearing the appropriate PPE You will fit the warranty tags Ensure all products are painted to the correct specification Managing your own time to ensure tasks are completed to plan Identify and work with others to resolve inadequate or unclear manufacturing information.
Ensure quality standards and factory housekeeping is of the highest standard.
Ensure all required documentation is completed correctly and on time Ensure that the companies Quality, Health Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are constantly adhered with.
At all times being helpful, courteous and professional.
Occasionally work unsociable hours when required to meet demand Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Demonstrable experience of prepping/spaying/painting metal products in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Experience of painting transformers would be a distinct advantage Experience of using a pressure pot and compressor system desirable.
Experience of working collaboratively in a production environment with other operations personnel is essential FLT licence desirable Overhead Crane licence desirable Experience of working within a continuous improvement environment desirable Manual Handling skills Good communication skills Flexible approach as the role may involve overtime including weekends and nights during high demand Salary and benefits: Salary negotiable 25 days holiday per year plus 8
