We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer / Technician to join a great team in an established family-owned business in Leeds (LS11). Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will be responsible for producing the arrangements for our products and working within the Engineering Teams procedural framework to ensure all design requirements are met.
- Issuing marshalling & wiring schematics to client specifications
- Developing and maintaining component libraries
- Supporting the mechanical engineers where required
- Maintaining standard designs
- Investigating new technologies
- Working closely with the fitting department to improve output to internal customers
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Knowledge & understanding of relay logic
- Ability to read and draw electrical schematics
- Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification
- Fault finding skills
- Panel wiring experience
- AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical
Previous experience of transformers would be ideal but not essential. Autodesk Inventor experience would be ideal but not essential. Organised with good communication skills. A sound knowledge of engineering design principles. Good numeracy and I.T. skills. Good problem-solving skills. The ability to meet deadlines. Attention to detail.
