We are looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to join the Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds (LS11). Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.

The Role:

  • Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer; key responsibilities will be the testing, repair and troubleshooting across the range of company products both in-house and on site.
  • In-house testing of transformers/marshalling enclosures/control panels.
  • Testing of LV cabinets and control devices.
  • Complete protection modifications.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years testing experience within an electrical engineering company.
  • Experience of testing and commissioning transformers essential.
  • Hold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essential.
  • The ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essential.
  • Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Risk Assessment policies and responsibility.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel.
  • Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach.
  • Flexibility to assist in other departments when required.

Salary and benefits:

  • Salary negotiable.
  • 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
