We are looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to join the Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds (LS11). Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.
The Role:
- Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer; key responsibilities will be the testing, repair and troubleshooting across the range of company products both in-house and on site.
- In-house testing of transformers/marshalling enclosures/control panels.
- Testing of LV cabinets and control devices.
- Complete protection modifications.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years testing experience within an electrical engineering company.
- Experience of testing and commissioning transformers essential.
- Hold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essential.
- The ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essential.
- Clear understanding of Health & Safety & Risk Assessment policies and responsibility.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel.
- Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach.
- Flexibility to assist in other departments when required.
Salary and benefits:
- Salary negotiable.
