Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial control, reporting, and building a scalable finance function in a fast-growing, performance-driven environment. The role will oversee the financial operations of the group, ensuring robust controls, accurate and timely reporting, and strong commercial insight to support ongoing UK and international expansion. You will work closely with senior leadership, Operations, and Property/Development teams in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the finance team, including oversight of outsourced accounting functions
  • Own the month-end process and ensure timely, accurate production of consolidated management accounts and reporting
  • Take full ownership of financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, statutory accounts, and audit management
  • Develop and enhance internal controls, financial processes, and reporting frameworks to support a scaling business
  • Manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation, and banking relationships
  • Oversee tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, corporate tax) and coordinate with external advisors
  • Partner with Operations and Property teams to support new site openings, refurbishments, and performance optimisation
  • Support capex planning, investment appraisal, and business cases for growth initiatives
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clear insight to senior leadership and investors
  • Lead finance systems improvement, automation, and data integrity initiatives

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be a technically strong qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with experience in a senior finance role within a multi-site hospitality, retail, or leisure environment. You will be comfortable operating in a private equity–backed, high-growth business, combining strong financial control with commercial awareness and adaptability. You will bring a solid grounding in financial reporting and a proven ability to lead and develop teams, alongside experience working with site-level financials — including labour, margins, and capex — to drive business performance. Exposure to international operations or expansion would be advantageous. You will also be confident working with finance systems and automation, with a continuous improvement mindset. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders are essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious, scaling multi-site business at a pivotal stage of growth, with significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape and evolve the finance function.
