We are seeking a Financial Controller with strong commercial acumen and a solid background in audit or accounting practice. This role requires a deep understanding of financial and commercial data, with the ability to lead the financial strategy and planning of the business. As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in shaping financial decisions at a senior level and supporting the continued growth and performance of the company.
About the Role
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health, managing the finance team, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior leadership. You will drive financial planning and reporting, ensure robust internal controls, and support informed business decisions through high-quality financial analysis and modelling.
Responsibilities
Financial and Management Reporting:
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) in line with GAAP or IFRS.
- Oversee the preparation of timely year-end accounts and manage the audit process with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
Financial Strategy, Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning to support business operations and investment decisions.
- Provide strategic financial input and recommendations to the executive team.
Data Analysis and Financial Modelling:
- Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis.
- Analyse trends and business performance data to provide actionable insights.
- Present financial data through dashboards and visualisations to stakeholders.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and risk management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously improve finance processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field preferred.
- Chartered or Certified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – fully qualified or part-qualified.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with prior exposure to financial leadership, management accounting, and audit.

- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with NetSuite desirable.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python) is an advantage.
