Role Overview

The Commercial Finance Business Partner is a key position focused on delivering financial insights and strategic guidance to support business growth and profitability. This role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive financial outcomes. The role is essential for fostering strong business partnerships and ensuring the financial health of the sales operations function.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to senior leaders and head office, providing clear, actionable insights to support decision-making
- Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting, translating commercial plans into robust sales, cost, and profitability targets
- Own financial performance management, including pricing, profitability analysis, and cost control to drive sustainable growth
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, delivering high-quality P&L, balance sheet, and performance reporting
- Proactively support key business projects, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and OPEX control
- Prepare and present business reviews for senior management, ensuring financial decisions align with strategic priorities
Skills and Experience Required
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting) is highly desirable.
- Consumer business experience is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record in financial business partnering with non-finance stakeholders, with the ability to build strong relationships across functions.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present complex financial data and insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive better business decisions.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting processes, month-end closing, and performance analysis.
