A rapidly scaling consumer and ecommerce business is recruiting a Commercial Finance Director into a newly created senior leadership role during a crucial stage of growth and evolution. The business is entering an exciting period of international expansion and broader strategic development, with potential private equity involvement and transaction activity on the horizon.

This is a highly visible and commercially focused position reporting directly to the CFO, leading the commercial finance agenda across a fast-paced omnichannel environment spanning digital, app and retail channels. With international expansion, retail growth and broader operational development underway, this role offers the opportunity to shape both commercial performance and the evolution of the finance function.

You will work closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organisation, supporting strategic decision-making and helping build the infrastructure, processes and insight required to support the next phase of growth. The role combines commercial finance leadership, FP&A, business partnering and strategic analysis within an entrepreneurial and rapidly evolving environment.

There will also be significant involvement in new initiatives, systems development, reporting enhancements and building a scalable commercial finance structure to support future growth. This is a fast-moving and ambitious business where priorities evolve quickly, requiring someone who is adaptable, commercially minded and comfortable operating at pace. The successful individual will be able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and thrive within a high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
  • Leading commercial finance and business partnering activity across the organisation
  • Supporting strategic initiatives including retail expansion and new market growth
  • Delivering insight across performance, profitability and operational decision-making
  • Driving improvements across systems, reporting and data capability
  • Building and developing a high-performing commercial finance function
  • Partnering closely with senior stakeholders and leadership teams

You will be a qualified accountant with significant commercial finance and FP&A experience, ideally gained within consumer, retail or ecommerce-focused businesses. It is essential that you can demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within fast-growth environments.

You will combine strong analytical capability with commercial judgement, stakeholder management skills and a data-led mindset. Experience operating within scaling businesses, omnichannel environments or international organisations would be highly advantageous.
