A high growth pre-IPO FinTech business is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a dynamic and highly visible role within the organization, offering a blend of project-based work and ongoing responsibilities, along with an excellent platform for career progression in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

In this role, you will be a pivotal member of the financial reporting function, driving enhancements to processes and controls while ensuring full compliance with IFRS standards. Your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • External financial reporting
  • Technical financial accounting
  • Acting as a central liaison for cross-departmental collaboration with teams such as Commercial Finance, FP&A, and Legal

You will prepare and review external financial statements, support the audit process, and take charge of financial covenant reporting. Additionally, you will develop and implement accounting policies and procedures, with a particular focus on complex accounting issues and new standards.

Beyond your core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of exciting projects, such as IPO readiness, managing special purpose vehicles (SPVs), and supporting tax-related matters. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial information while fostering collaboration across departments to deliver insightful and compliant outputs.

This successful candidate will be an ACA-qualified accountant with a strong background in external financial reporting. Expertise in IFRS (ideally IFRS 2 and IFRS 9) is essential, alongside a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to tackling technical accounting challenges. Experience in interpreting accounting standards, regulatory guidelines, and legislation is key, as is the ability to draft technical papers addressing complex financial matters. Additional experience in tax and SPV structures would be advantageous.
