A private equity-backed group of international media agencies which has grown quickly through acquisition is looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant for their Group Finance team based in Central London. This is a high-profile, permanent position, created due to internal promotion, and offers an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading business that is on a clear trajectory towards an IPO within the next 2–3 years.

The role will sit at the heart of the group finance function, working closely with a high-calibre team and providing broad exposure across financial reporting, technical accounting, and senior-level stakeholder engagement — including regular interaction with both international leadership and the company’s investment partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing month-end reporting for group entities, including preparation and analysis of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow with insightful commentary.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of group-wide technical accounting policies.
  • Leading statutory audits and compliance processes.
  • Ownership of the intercompany and group consolidation process, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved proactively.
  • Maintaining and evolving the group’s financial reporting procedures.
  • Supporting ongoing M&A and restructuring activity, ensuring seamless integration of new entities.
  • Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the group.
  • Assisting with a variety of ad hoc financial projects.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and international environment. Sector experience in media or communications would be beneficial but is not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and internationally focused business, offering real scope for progression as the company continues to grow.
