A high-growth international consumer and ecommerce business is recruiting a Director of Group Finance to support the CFO during an important phase of scale, international expansion and finance transformation. The business has grown rapidly, built a loyal customer base and is entering its next stage of development, with continued ecommerce growth, retail expansion and investment into systems, reporting and infrastructure.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a senior leadership role responsible for financial control, group reporting, statutory accounting, audit, tax, treasury, controls and finance operations across a multi-jurisdictional business. The role will sit alongside the Commercial Finance Director, who will lead FP&A, business partnering and commercial finance. Together with the CFO, these roles will form the senior finance leadership team.

The successful candidate will help build the financial discipline, reporting framework and control environment required to support a fast-growing international business. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who can operate strategically while still being close enough to the detail to improve processes, strengthen controls and ensure high-quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading group financial reporting, month-end, year-end and consolidation processes
  • Building and developing the financial control and reporting team
  • Owning statutory reporting, audit delivery and technical accounting matters
  • Managing financial control, balance sheet integrity and accounting policy across the group
  • Supporting international entity reporting, multi-currency accounting and cross-border finance processes
  • Leading tax, treasury, cash management and working capital reporting in partnership with the CFO
  • Strengthening controls, governance, reconciliations and reporting discipline
  • Overseeing finance operations, including AP, AR, payroll, expenses and related processes
  • Supporting systems development, ERP implementation and reporting improvements
  • Bringing financial control and reporting discipline to areas such as inventory, fulfilment, retail, ecommerce and international operations
  • Partnering the CFO and senior leadership team on finance transformation and scalable infrastructure

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in financial control, group reporting or senior finance leadership. Experience in consumer, retail, ecommerce, fashion, beauty or other international growth businesses would be highly relevant. You will bring strong technical accounting capability, excellent controls discipline and experience operating in a complex, multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional environment. You will also be pragmatic, hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-moving business where processes are still evolving.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful consumer brand at a pivotal stage of growth and help build the finance function required for the next phase of scale.
