We are seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Manager to join our client. This role is critical to ensuring effective financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the organisation. As an Interim FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting. This position will work closely with senior leadership to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of the company’s annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyse key financial and operational performance metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand operational drivers and incorporate them into financial projections.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports for senior management, highlighting key business trends and performance.
  • Perform variance analysis, identifying the causes of discrepancies between budgeted and actual results.
  • Develop financial models to support business case development and decision-making.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights, helping them understand their budgetary performance and manage costs.
    • Act as a strategic advisor to various business units, providing financial input on key projects and initiatives.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data and processes.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Projects:
    • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required by the business, including supporting mergers, acquisitions, or system integrations.
    • Provide support during month-end and year-end close processes.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
    • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
    • Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial performance metrics, and variance analysis.

    Skills:

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
    • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.).
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
