An experienced Financial Accounting Manager to support a multi‑site organisation on an interim basis. Responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and managing accounting processes across multiple locations, often during periods of change (e.g. transformation, audit, system implementation, or staff gaps).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes across multiple sites
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS / UK GAAP)
- Maintain strong financial controls and balance sheet integrity
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations and multi‑entity consolidation
Multi‑Site Oversight
- Support site finance teams and ensure consistency in reporting
- Review site‑level P&Ls, variance analysis, and performance metrics
- Act as a central point of contact for finance across locations
Audit & Compliance
- Manage external audit process and liaise with auditors
- Ensure statutory accounts are prepared accurately and on time
- Maintain compliance with tax, VAT, and regulatory requirements
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improved financial processes
- Support finance transformation or system implementations (e.g. ERP)
- Strengthen internal controls and reporting frameworks
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with senior leadership, operations, and site managers
- Provide clear financial insight to support decision‑making
- Communicate complex financial information in a concise way
Key Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong financial accounting background in a multi‑entity or multi‑site environment
- Experience with consolidations and group reporting
- Proven track record managing audits
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems experience
- Ability to work at pace in an interim / fast‑changing environment
