A high-growth consumer and ecommerce business is recruiting an Interim Head of FP&A to support the CFO during a period of transition and continued international expansion. The business has grown rapidly, built a loyal customer base and is entering an exciting phase of development, including international growth, retail expansion and broader finance transformation.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can quickly take ownership of core FP&A activities, provide continuity across the function and support senior leadership with high-quality financial insight. The successful individual will play a key role in ensuring day-to-day FP&A delivery runs smoothly while the business continues to build out its longer-term finance leadership structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes
  • Maintaining and enhancing complex financial models used across the business
  • Production of weekly trading reports, monthly FP&A packs and senior leadership reporting
  • Delivering variance analysis and commercial insight across performance, profitability and growth initiatives
  • Supporting decision-making across Commercial, Marketing, Operations and Finance
  • Acting as a trusted FP&A partner to the CFO and wider leadership team
  • Supporting ongoing process improvements and finance projects

The client is keen to engage with candidates who combine strong FP&A capability with commercial judgement, excellent analytical skills and the ability to operate independently within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Significant FP&A and commercial finance experience
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, including experience managing large and complex planning models
  • Experience operating within consumer, retail, ecommerce or other high-growth environments
  • The ability to work with imperfect data and deliver clear, actionable insight
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A hands-on and pragmatic approach
