An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading business in the construction and infrastructure sector. With a portfolio of high-profile projects and a strong pipeline of work, this is a chance to play a key role in shaping the success of large-scale developments across the UK.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional project teams, supporting the end-to-end performance management of projects through robust cost control, scheduling oversight, and risk assessment. You’ll be involved in everything from progress tracking and supplier performance to monthly financial reporting and risk mitigation, helping to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
What you’ll be doing:
- Overseeing schedule and cost performance across active projects
- Identifying and tracking critical path activities and schedule risks
- Communicating schedule issues to delivery teams to support early intervention
- Supporting monthly financial reporting including cost reports, valuations, claims, and accruals
- Assessing project risks impacting time and cost, using established R&O registers and forecasting tools
- Supporting change management processes by analysing impacts on scope, schedule, and budget
- Engaging with suppliers, managing performance reviews, and documenting outcomes
