Location: Pontypridd (will consider remote working)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Conveyancer to manage a caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience handling freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new build properties in England and Wales. You will play a key role in delivering an efficient, high-quality service to our clients, maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including those of the SRA and CQS.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters with minimal supervision.
  • Handle all aspects of the residential conveyancing process including:
    • Title checks and raising/answering enquiries
    • Drafting and reviewing contracts
    • Conducting searches and checking mortgage offers
    • Exchange of contracts and completion
    • Assisting with post-completion formalities (e.g. SDLT returns, Land Registry submissions)
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors in a professional and timely manner
  • Keep clients updated throughout the transaction to maintain excellent customer service
  • Maintain accurate file records and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and GDPR requirements
  • Contribute to the firm’s reputation by delivering a high standard of legal work and client care

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience as conveyancer responsible for own caseload.
  • Proven track record of handling a full residential conveyancing caseload including leasehold purchases and sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of conveyancing law and practice in England and Wales.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication and client care skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, Legal Executive (CILEx), or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with new builds, Help to Buy, or shared ownership schemes.
