Mechanical Fitter in Tamworth

Role: Mechanical Fitter Location: Tamworth Duration: Permanent Salary: £15.00 – £16.00ph + Overtime Our client, who supports the Automotive sector has a vacancy for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join an established team and are looking to recruit someone for an immediate start. As a Mechanical Fitter: You will work on new and refurbished resistance welding machines that are supplied to a wide range of clients from within the automotive industry. * Overhauling, repairing and refurbishing parts and equipment * Fulfill parts requisitions on the completion of work to ensure stock levels are retained hence minimising downtime * Assist with ongoing project work e.g. new equipment installations * Undertake any reasonable requests for training, either internally or externally, to improve performance and capabilities * Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours when cover is required Qualifications / Key Skills: * Apprenticeship in associated field or adequate experience * Working knowledge of various types of welding machines an advantage * Ability to work under instruction and on own initiative * Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail * Ability to work safely and adhering to health and safety protocols good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team or independently * Relevant certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical trades are desirable
