The Europe Operational Technology (OT) Engineer will drive the digital transformation of manufacturing operations across European sites by driving initiatives in data analytics, cybersecurity, AI integration, and OT infrastructure. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, reducing downtime, improving product quality, and enabling predictive capabilities through advanced data and automation technologies. The OT Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally with Process Control, IT, Engineering, and external partners to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-effective OT solutions aligned with business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Data Analytics & Predictive Insights
- Deployment and optimization of data historian tools (e.g., FT Mosaix, OSI Pi) and analytics platforms.
- Enable real-time data mining and AI integration for predictive maintenance and process optimization.
- Support the Analytics Program, including NIR models and pilot trials.
- Enhance support for the OEE Pillar through data-driven insights.
- OT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity
- Working with the IT teams, implement secure remote access and cyber hardening of PCN systems.
- Ensure compliance with HSE OG86 and IEC 62443 standards.
- Reduce reliance on external contractors and mitigate malware/ransomware risks.
- Collaborate with IT and CMS teams for secure network architecture and patching.
- AI-Based Software Trials & Digital Transformation
- Support trials of AI technologies for product development and process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external AI/data science teams.
- Enable real-time data migration and AI-driven decision-making.
- Strengthen predictive capabilities and digital maturity across sites.
- Software Lifecycle & Patch Management
- Plan and execute software lifecycle and patching strategies for automation systems.
- Coordinate with IT/CMS to ensure timely and secure updates.
- Reduce external resource needs and enhance internal capabilities.
- OT Tools Development for OEE, M&R, and Capital Projects
- Design and implement data pipelines and communication paths (e.g., CCTV, IoT).
- Improve integration between OT systems and business platforms.
- Support smarter operations through enhanced visibility and infrastructure.
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in OT, process control, or industrial automation.
- Proven track record in deploying analytics platforms and cybersecurity solutions.
- Experience with AI trials, software lifecycle management, and digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
