The Role
We are seeking an Engineering Team Leader to oversee 4 engineers. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving facility uptime and asset reliability across our 24/7 factory and workshop. The role requires flexibility and hands-on leadership to support and develop a high-performing engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure your teams are fully equipped with everything they need to succeed, including training, tools, equipment, and parts/supplies
- Balance PPM against breakdowns in line with OEE requirements
- Assist in the running of CAPEX projects
- Conduct and support Root Cause Analysis and condition monitoring across the site
- Use our CRM system to improve service levels and general management
- Personally assist your team with maintenance and repairs
You Will Have
- Proven experience in an engineering leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance tools, including PPM, RCA, and condition monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to motivate and develop a team, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- A flexible approach to work, with the willingness to adapt to changing production needs.
Qualifications Must:
- Time Served Apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 Elec/Mech Engineering or City & Guilds equivalent
- Level 3 ONC in Elec/Mech Engineering
- HNC in Elec/Mech Engineering
- 18th Edition
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
Monday to Friday - 10pm to 6am - 40 hours per week
Overtime: x1.5
Annual Leave: 33 days including bank holidays
