Spirehouse Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Property Compliance to join a leading Housing Association committed to providing high-quality accommodation and support services. This pivotal role involves ensuring the organisation's properties meet all necessary health, safety, and compliance standards, creating safe and desirable living environments for residents.
The Role: As Head of Property Compliance, you will be instrumental in managing the building, health & safety, and compliance portfolios. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the repairs and maintenance and Customer Services Teams, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to customers and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Property Compliance will include but not be limited to:
- Manage, monitor, and improve health and safety, property, and compliance standards within the workplace.
- Ensure legislative compliance and adherence to organisational standards.
- Oversee general stock management, including leasehold properties.
- Manage health and safety delivery on-site for building maintenance services.
- Ensure risk action remedial works comply with required standards.
- Oversee new property inquiries, handovers including disposals, and new development appraisals.
- Ensure compliance, health & safety records and certifications are up to date.
- Support the implementation of digital drive and launch new compliance software system.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all legislation and laws.
- Facilitate and carry out building inspection reports and surveys.
The Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate for the Head of Property Compliance will possess proven experience in a regulated environment, with a strong understanding and practical application of regulatory health and safety frameworks within building construction.
Essential Requirements:
- A commitment to supporting the needs of vulnerable groups.
- Member of IOSH and qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate standard (minimum).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexible with working hours.
