You will join Coro, Bain's persistent product development and engineering organization supporting our digital solutions across Commercial Excellence and the newly established Demand Generation Suite. Within Coro, you'll be part of the newly established business-to-consumer pillar, helping build the technical foundation for Artemis—Bain's AI-driven marketing and commercial investment allocation platform.
WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Staff Architect II / Tech Lead, you'll own the technical architecture, engineering quality, and day-to-day engineering leadership for the Artemis product workstream. You will define how data moves through the platform, shape the AI agent architecture, establish how services integrate with Bain's broader technology platform, and set engineering standards across the workstream.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Architecture and technical governance
- Define and document the architecture for the Artemis workstream.
- Make key technical design decisions across data flows, service boundaries, and integration patterns.
- Own the engineering quality bar for the workstream.
- Create, communicate, and maintain technical designs, architecture artifacts, best practices, and engineering principles.
- Platform integration
- Manage integration points between Artemis and other applications.
- Define and maintain API contracts and shared user interface components.
- Partner with AI Engineers to design large language model orchestration.
- Roadmap delivery and team leadership
- Partner with Product Managers to translate prioritized initiatives into clear technical scopes.
- Own sprint-level task assignment and help the team deliver against committed timelines.
- Lead the workstream engineering team.
- Innovation and emerging technologies
- Explore new approaches to complex business and technical challenges.
- Stay current on emerging developments across data, AI, and AI-agent technologies.
ABOUT YOU
Essential experience and capabilities
- 8–10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience in software and data architecture within a senior technology leadership role.
- Strong Python backend engineering experience using FastAPI or an equivalent framework.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
- Deep experience with cloud-native architecture on Azure.
- Working knowledge of large language model APIs and agent orchestration frameworks.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Preferred experience
- Significant experience working with marketing, media, or advertising data.
- Experience working directly with Data Science teams.
