The Senior Specialist, Digital Marketing, Content & UX plays a critical role on the Bain & Company marketing team and is primarily responsible for commercial content production and optimization, and ongoing support for our core digital property, Bain.com. They create engaging web experiences for commercial programs including digital proposals and web personalization. They serve as an internal go-to resource for our content management system (CMS) for local markets, digital brand building for Bain leadership profiles, and web support for our commercial development opportunities. This individual keeps the audience at the forefront of content creation through digital storytelling best practices, user data analysis and an adherence to Bain’s brand standards and best digital practices.
The ideal candidate has experience in web, B2B development and digital marketing. They have a natural intellectual curiosity to understand digital audiences. In this role, they will optimize the user experience on public bain.com content as well as digital proposal websites. They will analyze effectiveness, usage trends and available data to inform actionable recommendations and present reports to various internal stakeholders. They will also liaise with global colleagues to understand their digital objectives and present solutions that ensure web best practices are being implemented at all times.
The person in this versatile role is detail-oriented with strong project and process management skills. They are able to mobilize quickly when needed for a short sprint, coordinate across team members and communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels across a global, matrixed organization. An advocate for Bain’s digital channels, this person turns observations into clear, actionable feedback for non-digital audiences including marketers, consultants, and senior firm leaders.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day operational delivery on bain.com, supporting web programs such as personalization, digital proposal sites, and other commercial content.
- Develop and project manage digital proposal sites, with support of Senior Manager, ensuring alignment with Bain brand standards, best digital practices, and the narrative needs of the client audience.
- Apply UX judgment to review content and structure, identifying opportunities to improve clarity, flow, and impact; collaborate with other experts to shape recommendations for proposal teams.
- Partner with local market representatives, regional marketers, and proposal teams to scope, prioritize, and execute digital requests, translating business needs into web solutions.
- Collaborating with other marketing colleagues, create and maintain web content across Bain.com using the firm’s CMS, Optimizely, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment and content quality.
- Own the digital brand building program for Bain leadership profiles to review, optimize, and maintain profile pages that reflect current positioning, messaging hierarchy, and UX best practices.
- Analyze web data and user behavior to help solve problems and identify recommendations to improve the overall bain.com user experience.
- Deliver excellent customer/client service through effective and timely communication, and consistent demonstration of digital and web expertise.
- Manage incoming digital requests with strong project management discipline: scoping work, setting expectations, communicating status, and closing the loop in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with a global internal client base, bringing awareness of and sensitivity to diverse cultures, regional market priorities, and varying levels of digital fluency.
- Collect, document and form analysis of traffic data for Bain digital assets using Google Analytics and other tools for various reporting cycles.
- Proactively suggest data-driven process improvements or content updates.
- Own review/approval step in CMS workflow for updates submitted by light users (i.e. local office, account marketing managers, etc.).
- Support training and enablement for local teams and consultants on CMS usage, best practices and processes.
- Research latest web optimization techniques and recommend use cases for Bain.
- Proactively discover new ways to test and learn web functionalities such as personalization and user testing, and utilize findings to make recommendations that align with overall firm and department objectives.
Experience
- Experience in digital marketing, web content management, or a closely related field, ideally within a professional services firm, B2B, or large matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated experience supporting proposal, business development, or campaign materials in a digital context; experience collaborating with senior team members on these digital assets.
- Applied UX, content strategy or content quality judgment.
- Proven data analysis, problem solving and customer service skills. Ability to digest, synthesize and distill information into concrete recommendations for stakeholders.
- Experienced project management skills, working in or alongside a global team, with ability to mobilize a quick sprint when needed.
- Exposure to A/B testing or experimentation programs; web accessibility standards, SEO or AEO fundamentals, personalization platforms or marketing automation systems.
- A strong grounding in HTML, Google Analytics and AI tools (Claude, Chat GPT, etc.).
- Proficiency with MS Office applications suite and digital collaboration tools.
