This is a project-based role, but a very HR-heavy piece of work.

We need a senior HR Manager who can take ownership of the people side of a post-acquisition integration, involving the movement of around 40 employees across UK businesses.

The role will involve

  • Advising the business on the HR implications of the integration and how best to approach the transfer of employees.
  • Mobilising the integration and managing the people-related processes and challenges.
  • Taking ownership of the transfer process, including TUPE and employee consultation.
  • Previous hands-on experience of business integrations and moving people between businesses in the UK, ideally having led or been closely involved in a similar post-acquisition process.
  • Experience of TUPE transfers, although a refresh of the technical details may be needed.
  • Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment, with the ability to work at pace, navigate ambiguity and get things moving with minimal direction.

We need someone senior enough to have seen this process in practice, who can bring the right level of HR expertise and confidently lead the work from the outset.

The Details

The role is based in Farringdon, working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with three days in the office from Monday to Wednesday.

The assignment is ongoing, with an initial estimated duration of 2–3 months.

Bain and Gray is an equal opportunities employer.

We continually strive to improve our processes around our diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.
