Executive Assistant to Chief Investment Officer

Job Description

Language required

A European language in addition to English is essential β€” Italian is strongly preferred, although French, Spanish or another European language would also be considered

A leading London-based investment management firm is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in this newly created role.

The CIO will be joining the business shortly, and the successful candidate will play a key role in establishing an effective, proactive and well-organised support function from day one.

This is a high-level EA position for someone who can operate independently, anticipate needs and manage a fast-moving and demanding schedule with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive executive support to the CIO.
  • Manage a complex and changing diary, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts.
  • Coordinate meetings, calls, travel and itineraries.
  • Liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare the CIO for meetings and ensure actions are followed through.
  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.
  • Work closely with other EAs and teams across the business to coordinate priorities.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects and requests.
  • Provide flexibility and support outside standard hours when genuinely required.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Previous EA experience supporting a senior executive, ideally within financial services or investment management.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organisation and attention to detail.
  • A highly proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and resolve them independently.
  • Strong judgement and the confidence to make decisions without constant direction.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A European language in addition to English is essential β€” Italian is strongly preferred, although French, Spanish or another European language would also be considered.
  • A collaborative, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
  • A positive, personable and professional manner.

We are looking for someone who naturally thinks one step ahead.

You will be someone who spots a diary conflict before it becomes a problem, understands what needs to happen next and simply gets on with it.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EA to become a trusted partner to a senior investment professional and play a key role within a growing and sophisticated investment management business.
