We are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our successful Consultancy team based in Eltham, South East London with a potential for Project Team Leader responsibilities. The successful candidate should have a progressive outlook to help drive the delivery of our mechanical services, collaborating with our architectural, building and quantity surveying groups to deliver projects throughout their life cycle.

Current Projects include; Blue light, Education and Corporate Buildings.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.
  • Understand client needs and regulations; design building services and keep clear project records.
  • Create designs that meet regulations and company standards.
  • Work with other team members on design coordination.
  • Prepare specifications, drawings and schedules for mechanical services.
  • Get design work checked by Senior Engineers before release.
  • Conduct site surveys and assist with testing and commissioning.
  • Share knowledge and help train junior colleagues.
  • Assist with budget estimates, cost planning and tenders.
  • Attend meetings and help prepare minutes if needed.
  • Manage and carry out daily project tasks.
  • Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Ideal candidate:

  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Chartered or working towards
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience in a consultancy environment
  • Associate Member of CIBSE
  • Lived in the UK for minimum of 3 years (due to vetting requirements)
