Technical Support Engineer - Greater Dungannon area (starting salary 33k-35k depending on experience)
Working Hours: 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Thursday, Lunch time Friday finish!
My client, a major top 100 NI employer, has an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join their small, busy and expanding IT dept that looks after all aspects of infrastructure support at their impressive HO in the greater Dungannon area. On offer is an excellent base salary and benefits package, ongoing training & skills advancement with certification/qualification allocations.
As well as getting hands-on exposure to a number of new and ongoing upgrade projects, you will facilitate in the effective operation and daily support of the company network, systems and processes.
What we're looking for:
- 3rd level education and a background within a similar IT Support environment.
- Office 365 Desktop Apps (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Experience of Office365 administration including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint
- Experience of Windows Server including active directory, group policy and VMWare
- Good communication required with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Drivers license with (ideally) access to own vehicle due to site location.
Job overview:
- To provide technical support for all PC hardware, software and associated peripherals.
- To log support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries.
- To install, configure and maintain operating systems to agreed standards.
- To perform upgrades, new installations and carry out routine procedures on site infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting system, server and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware and software faults.
