We are currently looking for young and enthusiastic commis chefs to join our team.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar position, however, full on the job training will be given and is willing to learn as part of this growing team.

Duties to include:

  • To ensure all dishes are prepared using fresh produce, combining contemporary flavours with traditional techniques.
  • Ensure that the preparation and presentation of the food is of a high standard and complies with food safety regulations.
  • To comply with all regulations as stated in the Company policies.
  • To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen operation.
  • To strive and anticipate customer needs wherever possible and react to these to enhance customer satisfaction.

The hotel's site opposite the Barbican entrance to Alnwick Castle has a fascinating history. Acquired by the first Duke of Northumberland in 1780, Bailiffgate House has served as a commissioner's residence, a school and now, it’s being transformed into a luxurious 48-room hotel with a bar and the Motte & Bailey Restaurant.
