Here at Scanomat, we have been leading the way in coffee machines for over 50 years, and our iconic TopBrewer is at the forefront of all that we do. Not only do we make some of the most technologically advanced coffee machines in the industry, but we also roast all our own coffee in our award-winning roastery in Denmark. We are looking for people to join our team as we go through a period of expansion, and now is an exciting time to join. This role would suit a current barista looking to develop their coffee skills in a commercial environment. This is a junior/entry level role suited to a barista or coffee enthusiast, with scope for growth within a leading coffee company.
Salary: The starting salary will be above London Living Wage and dependent on experience.
The role: This is a field-based role which will mostly involve visiting client sites in central London but may also include the occasional travel further afield. We are looking for someone with a love of coffee and a passion for delivering amazing customer service. You will be organised, have strong communication skills and be able to prioritise your time and workload effectively. As a Coffee Ambassador, your role will be to personally support clients at their premises, to ensure their TopBrewer experience is always at its best. A background and passion for coffee is required, and an understanding of coffee machine equipment would be highly beneficial. Full training on our equipment and coffee range will be provided.
What You’ll Do:
- Training: Carrying out engaging and impactful training with our customers on their equipment. Helping them to understand and become familiar with their new machines, showing them how to carry out routine daily tasks and how to clean and maintain their equipment.
- Day 1 Support: You will bring the wow to “go-live” day. Getting a new coffee machine in the workplace is quite a big deal, and it will be your role to offer support and help users get the perfect drink on opening day.
- Coffee Tastings: As a Scanomat coffee ambassador you will be passionate about coffee and impart your coffee knowledge on our clients. Through your knowledge and interaction, you will help the customer choose the right coffee for their workplace and ensure it is tasting perfect every time.
- Quality Checks: Making sure our TopBrewers are delivering the perfect cup of coffee each time is critical to the overall journey. You will carry out quality audits on the machines to ensure they are pouring the perfect espresso or flat white. By using your technical knowledge, you will make adjustments and tweaks to make sure the machine is pouring optimum. You will make recommendations to the clients and provide additional support as required to ensure the customer journey is perfect.
- Service Calls: Following a thorough training routine, you will know our machines inside out. Selected service calls and easy fixes are well within the remit of the coffee ambassador and it will be part of your role to get the machines up and running if trouble strikes.
