We are looking for a skilled barista to work with us, bringing high-quality coffee to our customers.

Location

Our cafe is located on Golborne Road, in the heart of the authentic Portobello market, attracting a creative and local crowd.

Skills Required

1. A friendly, easy-going, people-person with a desire to serve others.
2. Ability to dial in espresso to a given recipe.
3. Understanding of coffee extraction.
4. Knowledge of how to get the best out of different milks, both dairy and plant-based.
5. Preferably, experience experimenting with different home-brewing filter coffee methods.
6. A commitment to going the extra mile for customer satisfaction, with an interest or willingness to learn about diet, nutrition, or bio-hacking/optimization.
7. Willingness to learn about our product range to provide personalized recommendations.
8. A confident self-starter capable of running a shift independently when required.

Responsibilities

1. Dialing in coffee each morning and throughout the day.
2. Cleaning and maintaining coffee equipment and the cafe environment.
3. Serving all drinks, including teas and filter coffees, and selling goods.
4. Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.
5. Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards through temperature checks and date checks.
6. Conducting regular stock takes.
7. Preparing premixes for adaptogenic lattes.
8. Grinding coffee bags tailored to brew methods.
9. Providing personalized food and drink recommendations based on customer needs.
10. Liaising with the head barista or owners to troubleshoot issues.
