About the role
We\\\’re looking for a hands-on and commercially focused Marketing Manager to help shape and drive forward our marketing strategy. While the role offers exposure to strategic planning, we\\\’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable rolling up their sleeves-owning campaigns, analysing performance data, and writing engaging content.
This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional currently working in a B2B or technical services environment who is ready to step into a more strategic role over the next 12-24 months.
The split of responsibilities will be approximately 80% marketing and 20% communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of integrated Marketing campaigns aligned to sales objectives of each business unit
- Plan and deliver effective multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned to company objectives and sales goals.
- Manage and monitor the annual marketing budget; track spend, calculate ROI, and adjust plans accordingly.
- Support the development and evolution of our integrated marketing strategy, including audience segmentation, campaign objectives, tactics, and measurement.
- Lead the day-to-day marketing activity, including content creation, collateral development, email campaigns, events, and social media.
- Drive lead generation and customer engagement through the effective use of HubSpot.
- Oversee the creation of compelling digital content including blogs, white papers, and case studies.
- Develop our digital marketing capability, with a strong focus on SEO, website performance, analytics, and reporting.
- Manage internal and external communications, including media relations, press releases, and staff updates.
- Overseeing our participation in large-scale industry and corporate events, with a focus on outcomes and return on investment.
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all marketing and communication touchpoints.
- Line manage and develop two direct reports.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a marketing role with a strong operational focus
- Confident with marketing budgeting, performance tracking, and demonstrating campaign ROI.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot or similar marketing automation and CRM tools.
- Strong content and copywriting skills, with a keen eye for detail and tone of voice.
- Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns from planning through to evaluation.
- A collaborative and proactive style, with the ability to work cross-functional and influence stakeholders.
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
- An understanding of the defence sector is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to travel to support events or internal activity.
