Bailey Partnership is an award-winning consultancy practice looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Exeter office. Established in 1971 and operating from 11 offices across the South of England, East Midlands, Scotland & Manchester, we are a Building Top 150 consultancy offering Architectural, Interior Design, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Fire Engineering, Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, and Town Planning services.

The team has a diverse client base covering a wide range of projects. We are looking for someone with broad experience in all types of projects – residential, commercial, renewables, educational, leisure, coastal, etc. involving roads, drainage and environmental elements.

Your role will predominantly be civil infrastructure based, so experience with drainage and highways design is essential with a good working knowledge of the relevant sectional agreements. Where project demands require, you may work with other disciplines including structural, coastal and general civil engineering projects.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Production of scheme highway and drainage designs and drawings
  • Preparing or assisting with flood risk assessments
  • Undertake S38, S278 and S104 submissions
  • Proficient in, but not reliant on, the use of various in-house design and detailing software including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and drainage design software (FLOW or similar). The use of Revit will also be an advantage.
  • Communicating with clients and other project team members
  • Preparing or assisting with fee proposals
  • Managing/monitoring projects & team members
  • Ability to represent the Practice externally including marketing/winning work
  • General office duties as required
