Bailey Partnership are seeking a number of experienced Fire Safety Surveyors who will play an integral role in delivering FRAEW/EWS1 external wall and internal passive fire safety surveys across the UK. Bailey Partnership is a professionally accredited, building top 150 consultancy, offering a true multi-disciplinary service. Since 1971, Bailey Partnership have been lucky enough to work with clients across the UK and Europe, always striving to build meaningful and enduring relationships.
The external surveys will comprise intrusive investigations of external wall systems to assess combustibility and spread of flame, which requires surveyors to have a good understanding of building technology/pathology. Internal surveys will include compartmentation, fire door inspections and fire risk assessments (FRA) along with providing specialist fire safety advice.
Bailey Partnership will provide internal training and where appropriate enrol surveyors onto the RICS EWS1 Assessment course and/or relevant fire door/compartmentation training courses.
You’ll be an excellent fit for this position if you can meet the following criteria:
- Membership with RICS, CABE, CIOB, RIBA or similar
- Good building pathology and building technology knowledge
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
You may have experience or knowledge of fire safety in buildings, FRAEW/EWS1 training or cladding; however, this is not essential to be considered for this position.
Bailey Partnership is respected for looking after their people, training and development is at the heart of their success. This role will offer a starting salary of between £50,000 - £65,000, dependent on level of experience. You’ll have access to a contributory company pension scheme and a generous benefits package.
Due to the nature of the role, travelling will be involved in undertaking site surveys. Hybrid working at home is available however, you will be required to meet with your team and report to one of our offices on a regular basis to maintain contact.
