Salary: £48,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits (including 26 days holidays + statutory and free parking)
Hours: Full-time; 9am-5pm, flexible working hours available
A respected law firm in Gateshead is seeking an experienced Conveyancer to join their team as a Technical Advisor within the Residential Conveyancing department.
This is a unique opportunity for a senior conveyancing professional with at least 15 years’ experience to step away from the demands of fee earning, client management, and caseload targets. Instead, you’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance and best practice standards across the team.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and checking files prepared by fee earners to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Providing technical guidance and advice to colleagues on complex conveyancing matters
- Supporting the development of best practice, processes, and risk management within the team
- Working closely with an established team of 4, helping to ensure quality and consistency across all cases
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support, mentor, and advise colleagues
- A collaborative, supportive approach with a focus on compliance and standards
