Bailey Employment Services Ltd are recruiting for a Production Operative on an ongoing basis for their well-established client based in Thornganby. Our client is an established international company that supplies global food brands but remains a family business with family values. They pride themselves on producing the freshest frozen vegetable ingredients and work alongside over 60 farms across the UK to supply conventional and organic ingredients. They offer a variety of products, including peas, petits, beans, root vegetables, peeled and fresh, along with imported & specialist frozen vegetable ingredients.
The role will involve:
- Operating machines (full training given)
- Inspecting the quality of fresh produce, peas, carrots, parsnips, and beetroot for any blemishes
- Rotating stock
- Stacking product β max weight 20kg, mostly 10kg, PPT to move stock
- Pallet moving
- Opportunity to become a machine operator
Pay:
- Starting pay rate of Β£12.04 per hour
- Pay rate will increase to Β£13.02 per hour with further training
- Once fully trained the pay rate will increase to Β£14.00 per hour
- 25p per hour shift allowance for days and afternoons
- Β£1 per hour shift allowance for nights
- Paid breaks
- Opportunities for seasonal bonus of Β£500
- Opportunities for overtime which is paid at time and a half after 40 hours
Hours of work:
During peak season (June to September) the hours of work will be: 4 days on (6am β 6pm), 2 days off, 4 nights on (6pm β 6am), 2 days off, on a rotational basis.
