Solar Electrician – New Build Housing Salary: up to £52,000 Basic + 10% Performance Bonus ( or £250 day rate ) Benefits: Company Van & Fuel Card, 23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays About the Role We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to join a growing renewable energy team working across new build residential developments throughout Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. This role focuses on the second-fix installation, testing, commissioning and handover of Solar PV systems on newly constructed homes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring installations are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance before customer handover. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician looking to develop a long-term career within the renewable energy sector while working on large-scale residential projects. Key Responsibilities * Carry out second-fix electrical works on residential Solar PV installations. * Test, inspect and commission Solar PV systems on new build properties. * Complete electrical certification and commissioning documentation. * Diagnose and rectify installation faults where required. * Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and industry standards. * Liaise professionally with site managers, developers and internal teams. * Conduct quality checks and final inspections prior to handover. * Maintain a high standard of health and safety at all times. * Manage company vehicle, tools and equipment responsibly. * Travel between multiple housing developments across the Oxford, Northampton and Cambridge regions. Essential Requirements * Solar PV qualification * Knowledge of battery storage systems. * Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). * City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. * Previous experience working with SOLAR PV. * Full UK Driving Licence. * Strong understanding of electrical testing and fault finding. * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. * Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
